Privacy Policy
In short: Pearlyyy does not collect, store, or share any of your personal data. Everything you log stays on your device, and the app never connects to the internet.
What the app stores on your device
When you log a drink, Pearlyyy saves the following on your device, in the app's own private storage:
- The photo you take, and the sticker cut out of it
- The drink name, shop, rating, notes, date, and whether you marked it as a favourite
- App preferences, such as light or dark appearance and which tips you have already seen
This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. We have no server, and we cannot see it.
Camera
Pearlyyy uses the camera only when you choose to photograph a drink. The drink is cut out of the photo on your device, using Apple's built-in Vision framework. The photo is not uploaded anywhere.
Photo library
Pearlyyy asks only for permission to add photos to your library. It uses this only when you tap Save to save a picture of your month. It cannot read or browse the photos already in your library.
Sharing
If you share an image using the iOS share sheet, you choose where it goes. From that point, the privacy policy of the app or service you chose applies.
What Pearlyyy does not do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking
- No advertising
- No third-party SDKs
- No network connections of any kind
Backups
Like most apps, Pearlyyy's data may be included in your device's iCloud or computer backups, depending on your device settings. Apple handles these backups under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Deleting your data
You can remove everything at any time with Settings › Delete everything in the app, or by deleting the app from your device.
Children
Pearlyyy collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
